Starting October 27, Aeroméxico will begin operations between Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey (EWR) with a daily flight. The new service is part of the Joint Cooperation Agreement with Delta Air Lines, and will increase the joint offer in the Mexico City-New York market to 5 daily flights.

The route to Newark will complement the existing offer of four daily flights that the Aeroméxico-Delta alliance has to New York-JFK, increasing its presence by more than 20%, while providing another entry point to New York and a new access to the northern New Jersey market.

With these five joint flights, Aeroméxico and Delta will provide more options between these two important metropolitan areas, and will be the only ones offering connectivity in New York and New Jersey. Check the CDMX-Newark flight schedule.

The route will be operated with Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft with a capacity of 166 passengers, 16 of which are Premier Class, 18 AM Plus, and 132 Economy Class. Aeroméxico's MAX fleet features a fully customized cabin design, with benefits such as more legroom and greater recline, onboard entertainment system, high-speed satellite WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity, fast-charging outlets, among others.

This new service will offer more options for business and leisure travelers, who will also benefit from efficient connections within Mexico and to Latin America.

Thanks in large part to its alliance with Delta Air Lines, this year Aeroméxico has opened more than 10 routes between Mexico and the United States; the most recent were from Mexico City to Raleigh-Durham, Washington Dulles, Tampa Bay and soon will begin service connecting Querétaro with Atlanta. Thus, Newark will become Aeroméxico's 24th destination in the United States. Through the Aeroméxico-Delta alliance, the two airlines jointly serve 60 routes between both countries, exceeding 1,200 operations and more than 200,000 weekly seats.
