The goal is to bring products made by Mexican artisans, micro, small, and medium-sized producers to the Mexican community abroad.
At the Postal Palace, Luis Gutiérrez Reyes, head of the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IMME), representing Foreign Minister, Alicia Bárcena Ibarra, emphasized that the agreement will extend the reach of the CorreosClic platform through the Financial Advisory Windows (VAF) of Mexico's consular network to promote the economic and financial development of the Mexican community.
The platform not only allows for the promotion of products but also connects communities with the rest of the world," he said.

Gutiérrez Reyes highlighted that the initiative aims to benefit participants of the Consular Entrepreneurship Program for Mexican Women Abroad (PCEME), serving as a bridge between those offering their products within Mexico and those purchasing them abroad.

For her part, Rocío Bárcena Molina, General Director of Sepomex, shared that on February 28, the Mexican Postal Service launched the CorreosClic e-commerce platform, designed to support and boost Mexican entrepreneurs by helping them generate more sales and consolidate their businesses, as online sales in 2023 reached approximately 658 billion pesos.
She also reiterated that this collaboration is essential for the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Mexico, as they now have CorreosClic as a powerful digital tool to market their products. The platform covers 97% of the national territory and will also be extended to all Mexican representations abroad, including embassies, consulates, missions, and liaison offices.
Bárcena Molina emphasized:
We are the only entity with a communication network that reaches every corner of Mexico and 191 other countries through the Universal Postal Union, offering the lowest commissions in the market, supporting productive registries, and, as part of the benefits, we grant a commission waiver to our selling users."
Attending the event from Sepomex were Violeta Abreu González, the incoming head of the Mexican Postal Service, and Roberto Gerardo Cruz Aguilera, Corporate Commercial Director. From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event was attended by Jorge Alberto Martínez y Valdés, Director General of Legal Affairs; Tess Vázquez del Castillo Negrete, Director of Inclusive Trade and Regulation; as well as Julieta Olivia Muñoz Olmos, Executive Director "A," and Luz Elena Romero Quijano, Director of Communication and Outreach, both from IMME.
