5th edition of Mexicana Emprende, registration is open
Nationals abroad have opened around a thousand businesses through this initiative

Mexican women living abroad who want to start a business or grow existing projects can participate in the 5th Edition of the Consular Program for Entrepreneurship for Mexican Women Abroad.

This initiative by the Mexican government seeks to facilitate access to courses, counseling, and information that allow women to open up to new business opportunities, professionalize their projects, scale them, and thus improve their financial health and protect their family economy.
The Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IMA) of the Secretary of Foreign Relations (SFR) of the federal government informs that the call for this 5th edition is now open, and interested parties have until May 13, 2024, to submit their application and register at one of the 58 participating Mexican representations, the majority of them in the United States.

According to the IMA, since the program's creation in 2021, 1566 women entrepreneurs have benefited: 155 graduates in the first generation (2021), 245 in the second generation (2022), 759 graduates in the third generation (2023), and 407 women from the 4th edition. Of these, 1,000 women have already started a business abroad.
