The Secretary of Welfare of the Mexican government, Ariadna Montiel, announced the registration dates  and requirements for those seeking to benefit from the social program of the Pension for Women Aged 60 to 64.

Do you have a relative in Mexico who belongs to this age group? Remind them to check the information so they can apply for this benefit, which provides 3,000 pesos bimonthly.

During her participation in the second press conference led by President Claudia Sheinbaum, “People’s Morning Press Conference,” Ariadna Montiel indicated that in this first registration phase, women aged 63 and 64, as well as women from indigenous and Afro-Mexican municipalities aged 60 to 64, can begin enrolling.

She clarified that the registration period will last for two months, starting on October 7 and ending on November 30 of this year.

“The registration begins next Monday, October 7, and ends on November 30. We will dedicate almost two months to this registration. How will we know where to register? There will be at least one registration module in each municipality of the country—2,600 modules in total. You can find out where these modules are located on the Welfare Secretariat’s website, where a published document shows the locations in each state or municipality,” she explained.

Montiel Reyes also noted that in January  will begin issuing the first cards and start the program.

Pension for Women Aged 60 to 64: Registration by Letters

The registration schedule for women applying for the Pension for Women Aged 60 to 64, based on the first letter of their last name:

• A, B, C: Monday
• D, E, F, G, H: Tuesday
• I, J, K, L, M: Wednesday
• N, Ñ, O, P, Q, R: Thursday
• S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z: Friday
• All letters: Saturday

Requirements and Documents for the Pension for Women Aged 60 to 64

The required documents for registration include:

• Official identification
• Birth certificate
• CURP (Unique Population Registry Code)
• Proof of address
• Contact phone number
• Completion of the Welfare form provided by the department
