The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) has called on community members to exercise and protect their votes.

“Our Latino community is being targeted by misinformation campaigns designed to discourage us from voting. False and misleading information, aimed at confusing us and silencing our voices, is widespread across social media, Spanish-language platforms, websites, WhatsApp groups, and even robocalls,” they warned.

In a press release, they urged the community to stay vigilant and report or document any voting-related issues.

“We are joining organizations like the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), and Common Cause to offer Election Protection resources.”

These reports will be sent directly to a team of specialized attorneys.

Other available Election Protection resources include the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline and 866ourvote.org for accurate information and 888-VE-Y-VOTA (888-839-8682), where bilingual volunteers are available to assist in Spanish.

On Election Day, the Election Protection Hotline will be available from 5:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET.
