
Miguel Torruco Marqués, Secretary of Tourism (Sectur), designated La Americana, in Jalisco, as a new Magical Neighborhood. At the same time, he updated the status of the 12 Magical Towns, making the state the one with the most of these distinctions, along with the State of Mexico and Puebla.

Thus, with the renewal of the Magical Town titles, Torruco reaffirmed the distinction for Tapalpa, Tequila, Mazamitla, San Sebastián del Oeste, Lagos de Moreno, Mascota, Talpa de Allende, Tlaquepaque, and Ajijic, which are a source of pride for Jalisco and all Mexicans.

With these designations, he noted, Jalisco’s vast tourism offerings are expanded, which include attractions such as Lake Chapala, the largest lake in Mexico, paradisiacal beaches, archaeological sites, agave landscapes, its delicious cuisine, and its Magical Towns.
Additionally, accompanied by Vanessa Pérez Lamas, Jalisco’s Secretary of Tourism, Torruco Marqués delivered three new Green Angels units on behalf of the federal Sectur, three Distinctions to Puerto Vallarta International Airport, and diplomas to General Tourist Guides, among other actions.
