At the end of the meeting with Ramírez de la O, it was reported that they discussed the Federal Expenditure Budget for next year, which plans to allocate the majority of funds to health, housing, and social welfare programs.

Further details of the meeting, which took place at the National Palace and follows Claudia Sheinbaum's support for President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's decision to suspend diplomatic relations with the United States and Canada, will be provided today.

When questioned by the media outside the presidential residence, Claudia Sheinbaum said that she would continue to announce appointments to her cabinet at her transition office located in Iztapalapa, just weeks before the start of her administration.

With this, the incoming president secured the continuity of the head of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) during Andrés Manuel López Obrador's administration.

Last Monday, Sheinbaum mentioned that she has been meeting with the Finance Minister and several of his colleagues, saying, "We have been discussing revenues, meaning we are already working on how the government will close this year, which, obviously, is the president's responsibility until September 30th," the incoming president emphasized.
