In coordinated actions by the Security Cabinet, arrests, property searches, and seizures of firearms and various types of drugs were carried out in the states of Baja California, Durango, State of Mexico, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, Querétaro, Sinaloa, and Sonora

  • In Baja California, members of the Mexican Army, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), and the State Police raided a property, arrested two individuals, and seized two long guns, 34 magazines, 825 rounds of ammunition, and four tactical vests.
  • In the State of Mexico, FGR personnel incinerated 191 kilos of fentanyl, 444,776 fentanyl pills, 10,543 kilos, and 12,826 liters of chemical precursors.
  • In Jalisco, FGR agents seized 5,150 fentanyl tablets at a parcel delivery company.
  • In Morelos, elements of the Navy (Semar), National Guard (GN), Army, and State Police arrested five people. Authorities seized a handgun, a magazine, four rounds of ammunition, and three stolen motorcycles.
  • In Sinaloa, Navy personnel detained three individuals and confiscated four long guns, two handguns, 894 rounds, 31 magazines, three ballistic vests, and a vehicle.

The Security Cabinet reports these significant events as part of the National Security Strategy, which is based on four pillars: addressing root causes, consolidating the National Guard, strengthening intelligence and investigation capabilities, and coordinating with state governments.

BAJA CALIFORNIA

  • In Ensenada, Tecate, San Felipe, Mexicali, and Tijuana, Army, FGR, State, and Municipal Police officers, along with Pemex Physical Security personnel, detained seven people and seized a handgun, various drug doses, 2,160 liters of diesel, and three vehicles.
  • In Tijuana, Army, FGR, and State Police officers raided a property, arrested two people, and seized two long guns, 34 magazines, 825 rounds, and four tactical vests.

STATE OF MEXICO

  • In Toluca, Semar, the Ministry of Defense, the GN, the State Security Ministry, and the State Attorney General’s Office raided several properties. They arrested a known violent offender and member of a vehicle theft gang and seized a motorcycle and an electronic ankle monitor used for house arrest.
  • FGR personnel incinerated 191 kilograms of fentanyl, 444,776 fentanyl pills, 10,543 kilograms, and 12,826 liters of chemical precursors.

GUANAJUATO

  • In San Francisco del Rincón, Army and GN patrols arrested two individuals in possession of 20 doses of methamphetamine, 97 doses of marijuana, and a vehicle.

JALISCO

  • In El Salto, FGR officers seized 5,150 fentanyl tablets weighing 520 grams during a security inspection at a parcel company.
  • In Ocotlán, Army patrols detained a person carrying two magazines and 210 rounds.
  • In Teocaltiche and Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Army personnel seized a long gun, five magazines, six rounds, five ballistic plates, five tactical vests, 31,000 liters of fuel, a sealed illegal tap, and two vehicles.

MICHOACÁN

  • In Apatzingán and Buenavista, GN, Army, and State Police agents seized a long gun, magazines, ammunition, 12 improvised explosive devices, a motorcycle, uniforms, and tactical boots. They also discovered two camps and ten makeshift bunkers used by criminal groups.
  • In Buenavista, authorities also seized a long gun, 20 magazines, ammunition, and tactical gear.

MORELOS

  • In Yautepec and Coatlán del Río, Semar, GN, Army, and State Police officers arrested five individuals and confiscated a handgun, a magazine, four rounds, and three stolen motorcycles.

SINALOA

  • In Concordia and Culiacán, Army intelligence operations led to the discovery of three vehicles, six magazines, 1,709 rounds, and 25 improvised explosive devices.
  • In the El Sauz housing complex in Culiacán, GN agents arrested one person and seized two handguns, two magazines, 20 rounds, and three vehicles.
  • In Elota, using intelligence data, Semar personnel and a helicopter located and seized two long guns, 886 rounds, 17 magazines, three grenades, two C4 charges, three ballistic plates, tire spikes, tactical uniforms, and three vehicles.
  • In the Independencia neighborhood of Mazatlán, Semar personnel arrested three individuals, seizing four long guns, two handguns, 894 rounds, 31 magazines, three ballistic vests, and a vehicle.
  • In Escuinapa, GN, Army, and Municipal Police officers arrested four individuals and seized four long guns, 21 magazines, 352 rounds, and tactical gear.

SONORA

  • In General Plutarco Elías Calles, GN and Army personnel found a vehicle and seized three long guns, 18 magazines, 389 rounds, and tactical equipment.

ACTIONS AGAINST DRUG PRODUCTION AND TRAFFICKING

In the states of Chihuahua, Durango, Sinaloa, and Guerrero, Army troops destroyed 144 poppy fields covering 15 hectares and 30 marijuana fields over three hectares.

In the town of Ipucha, Cósala, Sinaloa, Navy personnel, using intelligence information, located and eradicated a marijuana field spanning 3,000 square meters, containing approximately 36,000 plants.

The Army also located and dismantled three sites used to store materials for methamphetamine production, where they seized 100 liters of chemical substances and one centrifuge.

STRATEGY TO COMBAT FUEL THEFT

As part of the National Strategy to Combat Fuel Theft, Army personnel located two illegal taps in Jalisco and two more in Hidalgo.
