During the security actions, the federal government reported that 26,643.93 kilos of drugs were seized, including 163.35 kilos of fentanyl

The Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico reports on the results of the “Northern Border Operation” for April 11, 12, and 13, 2025

Since the operation began on February 5, a total of 2,405 people have been arrested, and the following items have been seized: 2,112 firearms, 341,897 rounds of ammunition in various calibers, 10,724 magazines, 26,643.93 kg of drugs—including 163.35 kg of fentanyl—1,938 vehicles, and 304 properties.

All actions are carried out strictly in accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. The following arrests and seizures deserve attention:

Baja California

Nine people were arrested. Authorities seized 42 rounds of ammunition, one firearm, three magazines, 113 doses of methamphetamine, 38 doses of marijuana, and one piece of property.

Four more individuals were arrested. The seized items included eight rounds, one handgun, one magazine, 436 doses of methamphetamine, 40 doses of marijuana, and one property.

Coahuila

In Acuña, authorities seized two handguns, magazines, ammunition, drugs, and a property.

Nuevo León

In Marín, authorities arrested two people and seized five firearms, 39 magazines, 669 rounds of ammunition, 18 vests, one tactical helmet, 64 tire spikes, and three vehicles.

In General Bravo, one person was arrested. Four long guns, six magazines, and one vehicle were confiscated.

Sinaloa

In San Ignacio, six individuals were arrested, including two minors. Authorities seized three firearms, 18 magazines, 484 rounds, and tactical gear.

Authorities located and dismantled 15 sites used for methamphetamine production. The seized materials included 9,150 liters of drug-making chemicals and one condenser. The estimated financial impact on criminal organizations amounts to 205 million pesos.

Sonora

In Altar, authorities arrested four individuals and seized four rounds of ammunition along with one stolen vehicle.

In Imuris, one person was arrested. Authorities seized two magazines, a handgun, and 15 rounds of ammunition.

Tamaulipas

In Río Bravo, authorities seized 27 magazines, four firearms, 810 rounds of ammunition, four tactical vests, and one vehicle.

In Matamoros, 20 rounds and one long gun were confiscated.
