A recognition of the Mexican community in the U.S.
The Mexican ambassador to the United States, Esteban Moctezuma Barragán, was honored with the Unity Award by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) for his commitment to the Mexican community

The contributions of the Mexican community in the United States do not go unnoticed. Millions of Mexicans help drive the country’s growth from agricultural fields to universities. In recognition of this dedication, Ambassador Esteban Moctezuma Barragán received the Unity Award from the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the largest and oldest Hispanic organization in the U.S., dedicated to defending Latino rights.

Upon receiving the award, Moctezuma Barragán emphasized that this recognition is not just for him but for every Mexican who, through hard work and dedication, contributes to the development of American society. He also highlighted LULAC’s tireless advocacy for Hispanic rights and the close collaboration between the Mexican Embassy and the organization through its Hispanic and Migratory Affairs Section.
With 95 years of history, LULAC has been a pillar in the fight for civil rights, education, and economic well-being of Latinos in the U.S. Its mission is clear: to improve the living conditions of the Hispanic community, ensure access to better opportunities, and strengthen its political influence.
This recognition is a tribute not only to an ambassador’s work but also to the collective effort of an entire community that, day by day, shapes the present and future of the United States.
